Champorado

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Glutinous Rice, washed
  • 10 cups Water
  • 6 tablespoons Cocoa Powder dissolved in 1 cup water
  • 1 can Condensed Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Instant Coffee(Optional), dissolved with the cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt

Method:

Step 1

Boil the water and add the glutinous rice.

Step 2

Cook for 10 – 15 minutes until the rice has fully absorbed the water, mixing occasionally.

Step 3

Add the dissolved cocoa powder, instant coffee, condensed milk, sugar and pinch of salt.

Step 4

Cook for 5 minutes or until everything is thoroughly mixed. Add a little water if the mix is too thick.

Step 5

Serve hot as it is or with Tuyo.
